Genesis Mural, Paint, 2023

This summer, my sisters and I were given the opportunity to paint a mural for a preschool overseas! From how it came to our attention, all the way down to the wisdom, patience, and lessons learned from working, material supply and creatively collaborating with my sisters, this project grew me as an artist. God is so gracious in how he intertwines His kingdom and brings us together. A prayer from the preschool teacher for new paint on the walls was answered with my sisters and I without us even knowing. Using your skills and talents to fulfill an answer to prayer is truly the most beautiful form of work. I’m so grateful for God’s handiwork in all this and the hours and hours we spent drawing, planning (filled with some sister fights), shopping (not easy in a foreign country), painting (more sister fights—keeping it real), and jam sessions that filled that little preschool.
